Yeah, my camera attract attention aswel as its not exactly small when ive got my telephoto one. Trick to do is take a mate with you and when you see someone who looks interesting get him to pose near them and slyly take a photo of your subject.
I was lucky with the woman one as we were sat having a pint in a bar i looked out of the window and she was sat just outside, so i laid my camera on the table and just shot a few when i saw her doing something interesting.

I love that shot of her. Its that smooth, it almost looks CGI. Yeah, I'm gonna collar my housemate I think.
What settings do you use to get such a smooth almost slightly soft image? that just down to the quality of the cam & lens?

Use as low a DOF as you can. Used 2.8 in that shot coupled with the fact i was sat very close (there was basically only a piece of glass separating us) and it was shot at 86mm gives a nice bokeh effect.

That was such an easy shot matt, i was just walking along and thought meh see what happens
Just focus on the water, quick shutter speed, for that shot i used 1/6400 or 0.00015625 of a sec
