im selling my corsa gsi and am thinking either a R5 gt turbo or a punto gt turbo next, i have a subaru impreza wrx that is my project so am looking at a small engine with a turbo to replace the gsi.

what do people think?

Don't get a R5. Go for a starlet turbo.

aint lookin to spend alot, want something cheaper than the gsi as its expensive to run tax wise and i dont use it much

r5 is a cool option but relibility problems. if you get a minter you should be ok though, same with any turbo

im pretty good with turbos, got to fit my new turbo and manifold on my scooby at the weekend.

Doubt you'd get a 5 worth having without having to spend alot on one.

R5 is cool but for all the money you spend fixing them i'd get a glanza or an older starlet turbo

r 5 will be £2500 or more for one worth having to be honest...my mate is in love with them has owned 3 now...he wont have any other car...his got a nice one cost him £2500...made up of selling 2 cars for it and cash on top! its mint though 70k on the clock and quietest one ever 100% standard MINT! they are as reliable as any other car...defo go for the 5 over the fiat though...much better! get looking rtoc is the best forum but u have to pay these days! ill try and find a picture

doesnt do it justise...if u get one look after it...getting rarer and rarer...and they should be treated nice...as they werent back in the day...not the easiest "run about" by far...warm up...cool down every journey...fun though regardless...
