My first 2 cars had power steering, which was fine. Then i bought an old Vegas with no PAS which was great for everything apart from parking. Last weekend i bought a 97 sport with PAS and I hate it!

Just doesnt feel like i have as much control, and its harder to tell if its slippy or not.

Just wondering am I being daft and will take some more time to get used to PAS again, or do others feel the same?

its good for parking and when your knackered but steering can get light if you find some back roads

Yes its ace, this might sound dangerous but it sounds worse than it is lol - when your driving down a quiet stretch of motorway you hardley ever have to turn the wheel it like drives itself i love power steering

In normal driving theres not that much of a difference, but when the car would start to slide slightly etc power steering can be dangerous imo

The only downside to not having PAS is when you're driving under 5mph really. I prefer not to have it.

I've always said I don't like power steering. Much prefer the feel of the corsa on the road than the golf with PAS.

It's only really useful when parking.

i love having no power steering. The weight adds to the whole feel of the car

it's really fun with a twitchy wheel going round corners too
