It has been nearly 5 years since me and ian went to robin hood to collect my kit car.
The build has been somewhat slow due to a number of factors, but recently started working on it again and threw some more cash at the car.
The result being that i had all the bits collected to refurb the engine and get it fitted into the car properly.
Basic spec is:
robin hood 2b, (lotus 7 replica)
early c20xe running weber 45's and megajolt ignition.
once we figured the firing order, as the ford EDIS ignition module (that the megajolt is based on) fires a different sequence to vauxhall, it fired on its first crank.
Here is the VIDEO
sound is crap as it was filmed on my phone, and the exhaust isnt built yet so its straight out the 4branch.
Planning on finishing it by end of may this year.
ive got a build diary on my site http://www.kitcarbuilder.co.uk
any comments welcome

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

and here it is as of tonight
bit of an improvement but a lot heavier, nearly 600kg now
oh well it works out as being the same as a corsa sport with 360bhp

Fair play, what's the spec to get it to 360bhp?

They mean with regards of power to weight.
A corsa sport would have to have 360bhp to match the same power to weight as the kit car.
Looks good guys

again, sound and vid quality are very bad but we needed evidence of it moving under its own steam for the first time
clicky1
clicky2
and yes, in the last vid i did beach it getting in the garage, ride hight needs sorting.

Vid was on my phone, we'll get proper ones when it isn't dark and the car has brakes.
Its getting painted on the 15th as well so I would imagine that'll need its own thread and lots of smiling by Ste

Yeah that's just not refitted, just had the one while it was going in to the bodyshop.
That pic is mid-refit. Exhaust, wishbones, lights, indicators were all off.
