I finally thought I should post up a projects thread

Picked up the car in early January this year, with help from deano,and involved us chasing a silver C SRi down the M25 because we thought it was stavs

Needless to say, the first drive home was expensive, and had to stop for petrol my the time I'd left the M25
Got the XE home, and took a few couple of piccys, and added my flat blade wipers






3 days later, after I stopped driving it, I gave it a good wash, clay bar and polish, and even bought a buffer to finish it off











And got myself a little travelling buddy too

Updated:

Unfortunately (), fro wanted his numberplate back, and as he had to get the logbook back, I had no way of getting some new plates made up, so we both had the same numberplate on for a couple of days








And the new plate:

but actually, this made it feel more like my own car now


The car stayed clean for over a week , whilst I took various shots of it

Future plans:

To be honest theres not much that I'd like to change on the car

A few touches on the interior, and then just tidy up the bodywork, but I'm keeping all that under my hat

So new bits started pouring in... (and yes, I have basically all the richbrook parts on the way )






More will be added as more arrives/ is fitted

Looks well nice, I bet you enjoed the drive home when you got it.

Loved the drive home, but had to keep it quite careful as it's quite different than my 1.4

Engine wise, not really doing a lot mate, just going to clean it up, replace a few gaskets, drive it and fix it

Some colour-coding may come later though

Got a BMC to put on it, and that's all

Yer sounds good, i think it would look good with bumpstrips taken off aswell

Exactly what I thought too, but think they've been tigersealed on as fro said he took them off before, so will get some quotes to get it sprayed aswell

You'd have to get the doors and rear quarters fillered up, as there is an indent all along where the rubstrips go, which is why i got colour coded ones. woulda left them off other wise
