corsa all it does these days clickclclickclick! higher the revs the more clicking wanna drive it into a brick wall!

cambelt? cam damage? havent got a flippin clue!

going to get it looked at...if engine needs more than £300 work...???ideas...1.6? or flog it and get avts/gti???

you checked the water and oil levels??

yep both sound...oils slighty lower than maximum...water is cool aswell...been clicking for a while...maybe before i changed the oil last time :O...just forgot about it/stopped caring so much or got used to it but now its impossible

i bought a 1.4 lol, living in ireland, my engine was in euro's from a member on here (sinnerboy) although at the time it was through a friend, and i later spotted him on here lol. cost me 400euro for the block, 150euro to fit, 200euro for a sportex decat system, erm... after that i lost track. was lookin at about 1000euro all in tho, and that also included a service, 1.6 ecu, 8v flywheel. i kept my old 1.0 gearbox for closer ratio's

right its booked in for next thursday to have its MOT and be looked at...the click comes from underneath the inlet manifold?? whats this likely to be? click click click click click!

mine was clicking - turned out to be the big end bearing - cost £140 to put right which wasn't to bad. (had no car for a week though)

When mine clicked and the sound was coming from the top cover, it was a valve slightly hitting a piston. Turned out to be the cambelt slipped a tooth. Luckily it did not snap.

this is where im thinking...but stange...its a X14XE as dont think i stated it ...mechic will find out i gues...aslong as it dont take more than £200 off me with MOT it will be sound...might be selling very soon so need it fixing like could also be some sort of emissions related thing but sounds like mechinic click click clicking

cambelt was done 20k ago...when does everyone else change theirs?

i think the recommended intervals around 60k, did you get the tensioner and idelrs done too?

Yeah btw corsa_rob check the tensioner and idlers. I change those too while I was at it.

well will see whats going on on thursday...mechic is a friends of missus' family so he wont be charging me shit loads before asking me where to go on it like. hmmm interesting like...cambelt was do at 43k looking at the history its now just about to tick over to 65k. I'll have to post a reply of what happens eh! Graham88 what u said sounds so funny haha...cheers though guys!
