my emissions are going to be stupidly high
the car is even popping a few flames every now and again.
im having an mot through a friend so he will be a bit leinient....hopefully
but i have a boost valve, would it be possible to lower the emission level by turning it down so the engine is just getting enough fuel to run?

mine pops etc every now and again if you are driving it hard and it burns a bit of oil.
Passed the mot with no problems though. I took it for a rag about before hand, fan was on when he took it in

will be stupidly high, it has a decat and i think its running rich! and thats why im going through a friend for the mot. just want to make it as low as i can because if i can get him to pass it with the decat on then it saves me buying and fitting a cat

I dont see why they are called boost valve . Turn it down a touch as it it'll be the reason for over fuelling

It wont pass without a cat.
Unless the tester runs it on a pre 1992 emissions test.
The "BOOOST" valve will probably be causing the overfueling problems too, id remove that and use it as a paper weight.

i thought that a decat wasnt illegal unless it made the emissions higher than legal limit, meaning it cant be failed just because of de cat.
ive seen loads of people on here saying there corsa's have gone through the MOT without a cat on

There not Illegal, as such.
I.e. the car wont fail for having no cat fitted.
But the car wont pass the emissions test without a cat, because it wont be able get the emissions within the limits for the age of car
If a corsa's passed without a cat, then its either been put through with an old engine(pre'92) fitted, or the tester has made it "pass", which could get him shut down
