All through my life, whenever there's been something smashed, people say 'be careful not to hurt yourself, there's broken glass'. Now my personal experience of this is that it's harmless, it usually shatters into large pieces which you can pick up or touch and not have problem with.

However, tonight, I knocked a glass cup off a shelf, went to catch it and it smashed as I grabbed it (kinda grabbed it as it hit something)...

Properly cut my hands up lol, but what was shocking were the tiny little fragments of glass everywhere like size of sand on my hands. when I went to brush some of them off my hand it just cut my hands up like razors

After bleeding for a while, I cleaned it all up and got rid of all the pieces of glass in my hand, but I showed my mum the mess I made and she was like 'fucking hell looks like someone's been murdered'

Also, what makes blood different colours?

Like I've seen other people bleed before and it's been dark, purpley style blood.

And other people with orangey red blood.

My blood is a nice deep red red. Like Ferrari red

Best type imo.

Are you SURE it's blue?

just google it and it seems to be a popular mis conception that blood is blue. It's always a dark red colour / purple colour, being redder with more oxygen.

The darker the blood, the less oxygen it has... As steve said, blood thats being pumped to your lungs for more oxygen it seems.

Your blood is blue inside yourself - look at your vains.

It's only when the bloody meets oxygen it turns red.

Depends on how much iron there is in it, but mostly it's the level of oxygen.

Lass at work said this morning that someone in town at the weekend threw his pint on the floor, slipped on the spillage then cut his hands open on the glass
