They randomly phoned me up today telling me they could give me mobile phone insurance for £69 for the whole 18 months and if i don't claim on the insurance within 18 months then they will give me £50 back at the end..

Now it all seemed well and good untill they told me they were absolutely nothing to with vodafone and that all they needed were a few details of my address (post code and house number) and my bank details

Thats when i thought hold...how did you get my number, how did you know my new contract is starting soon, yet they are not vodafone or a partnership of vodafone. He told me they were an independant company who deal with all the service providers for mobiles.

It does seem like a good thing to get specially since im paying around £7 a month for insurance but i keep getting the feeling its just a scam

Tried looking at the website but its shut down hmmmm....


Just phoned vodafone and they are pretty sure it is a scam. Just to let people know.

They havnt renewed i don't think thats why its not working. I did a whois check though and it was registered on 06-Dec-2006 by fasthost.co.uk by a guy called Jamie James??
