Some plates for my footwells?
My car is stripped, and i need something like a chequred plate to go into the drivers & passenger footwells, just for a bit of grip really, as a painted floor may turn out to be a bit slippy?
I dont want some rubber mats down though, might fancy a navigators foot rest though...
Ideas?

Sand. Throw a bit in and laquer over it.
Edit: I might try that

wouldn't use chequred plating mate - it wont grip - use a rubber mat.

Grip tape is a good idea, never thought of that!
Thought the chequred plate might be good as it has those little rises in it, would be better for my shoes to grip than plain floor.

chequer plate is good as long as its 100% dry, goes slippy when wet.
If you do decide on chequer plate I buy it in in big sheets so I will usualy have a few bits laying around or can get them in the same day.
or just get some poundland mat sets and glue them down?

c/f would be slippier than chequerplate or bare steel.

Spotted some carbon jobbies, £180, bit much for a foot plate like?
Might just get some chequerplate & some grip tape.

Get some turf, and a pair of footy boots. Who said cars can't be eco friendly?
