My pc is pretty low spec but its ok for internet and gaming.
Only problem is its very slow to open up games or programs like photoshop, autocad etc
It will get stuck alot when opening or closing these programs and sometimes will come up with THIS PROGRAM IS NOT RESPONDING, END NOW OR CANCEL
If im in game and press the windows botton by mistake this can either crash the game or if I click back to the game it will not show on screen for about a minute...

Amd althon 2.0ghz
512mb ram
128mb ati x1050
M2v-mx Asus.
Windows xp home which has all the updates.
It was made last year on the 5/7 so is not too old.

I was just wondering if adding more ram would make it run quicker.
I see most basic pc systems now have atleast 1gb of ram or is the pc just hopeless

All depends what you use it for, check the games to see what they recomend you have..if thats the main reason you use it for.I have 4gb in mine which is overkill really as windows only recognises 3.6 but i do alot of things at the same time so its excelent for what i need it for.Ram is pretty cheap these days anyway.
