done a few engine conversions before i know i will need-
engine,gearbox,ecu,loom and chip

and i think i will need-
driveshafts? engine mounts? fuel pump?

is this right?

If you have everything from the 1.4 (as in hubs, struts etc as well) then you don't need much. Mounts from the 1.2, will need a fuel pump, and speedo is driven differently too.

engine, loom with everything ecu immbo ring transponder chip
if Spi need Mpi fuel pump
mounts
exhaust
rad

some rads are different, and require different hoes, may be fine, may not

might need the clocks out the 1.4 sport aswell

Possibly. The 16v won't be particularly difficult though.

Do you not have the engine already? If not, then as I said earlier, buy one with everything with it, ie hubs etc, and all you need to do is mount onto existing mounts, change fuel pump and sort the clocks (did mine with existing clocks but can't remember how we/my mates sorted the drive as I don't know that stuff)

dont need different hubs

as you dont change the gearbox

and standard clocks are fine - as you dont change the gearbox

would a 1.28v gearbox be ok an a 1.6 16v?

Yes it will be ok buit you can fit the 1.6 gearbox and use the 1.2 shafts and clocks if you prefer

all depends on year not engine

most the gearboxs are the same weather a 1.0 or 1.6
