This is my first ever MOT as my first car I sold before it was due, and ive now had this one a year.
Im proper nervous lol I just hope it passes or if it doesnt I hope the repairs are minimal. Guess im just scared of them pulling my pants down
Should be ok

Failed!!!!!!!!!
Fuk sake
- Offside front headlamp broke (can change got a spare)
- Offside front headlamp aim too high (as above)
-Offside rear tyre fouling a part of vehicle (can fix by putting steelies on)
- EMISSIONS!!!!!!!!
Apparently should be no more than 0.30 and mine is between 0.60 - 0.80
So they said i need a new CAT as that is most likly the problem!
So any tips? Will a new CAT fix it as they want about £110 fitted and i cant afford to pay that if its not gonna fix the problem

Thought you said the CAT is like new?
My car is being serviced and MOT'd at the same time, so I can't give it a good run/rag/warm up before the MOT. Hope mine passes not till the 20th March though.

It is deffo a year old because when i went to buy the car it didnt have any mot as it failed on emissions, they changed the cat at vauxhall and it then passed and came with 12 months mot.
Its now failed again and they seem to think a new cat will bring it down to passing level?

Emissions can be more than a cat...
Could be lambda/cts etc.
Headlamp and wheel rubbing are obvious tbh and should be fixed before going for an mot,lol
Hopefully it passes next time

i just spent best part of 5 hours getting mine ready for MOT.
old / legal plates had to go back on, sidelights back in, suspension had to be raised, cleaned all in the arches, under bonnet, boot, everything is spotless.

Try running things like engine cleaner etc through it with an oil change etc
Then just get it really warm and drive it for a good hour or something before taking it in for a re-test!
