Here are some pics of our new Leon, not the best pics as we only picked up on saturday and its been a very busy weekend!

I have used it today to go and see my astra in Kent and its a really great car . Really pleased with how comfortable it is even after 7 hours driving with a couple of hours break in between, its quick (far to quick for a diesel!) and handles well although it really does need dropping!!!!
Over all really pleased that we got it over the golf and the astra especially as I have done 7+ hours in it today and not even seen another leon on the road
Mods to come are:
Remap (3 months)
ICE upgrade (2 months)
Alarm (next couple of weeks)
Eibach 50mm springs and shocks (next couple of weeks)
Alloys (in 18's again - wait for the summer and the bad weather to go)
Grill (next couple of weeks)
Black badges (next couple of weeks)
Colour coded bonnet plastic and rear bumper plastic black (3 months)
Colour code the mirror covers (3 months with the other painting)
Things I would like to do money permitting is paint the centre console, leather trim, exhaust upgrade, induction kit but to be honest I am not really that bothered about them, as this is the family car, the modified car is my astra.
All in all I love it as does my girlfriend Sarah

its mainly for Sarah to use as a daily drive to work, and for us to use as my astra isnt exactly pratical
She had a modified golf mk4 before which she loved, so a few choice mods will be done but nothing that makes the car a pain to drive or a worry to leave any where if you know what I mean?

Don't take offence, but the book figure on my 130 1.9 is 240 torques - shouldnt the 170 bhp have much more?

The 130 bhp and the 230Ibs that you have will be nippy and although its the torque that pulls you along, the 40bhp and 30Ibs that the leon has will be very noticable.

the VAG engine feel quicker than what they are though as its all or nothing
A good engine but unrefined and power delivery of the 170 is shocking
140 is much better in delivery but not a as quick

How much did that set you back mate? What options has i got beyond the bluetooth and 18's? What sort of miles has it done?

I dont have any issues with the power delivery, I thought the 140 was sluggish compared to it and no were near as much fun Its certainly better than a mapped 150PD 1.9 tdi engine.
corb - The car cost 15K dead, its 3 months old and had done 2500 miles when we collected it. Its the sales guys car so we got it as a demonstrator.
Options are as you have said 18's and bluetooth, the only other option I would have had if I had the chance was the connivance pack.
I think it was a great price, you can get them cheaper from motorpoint I think it is but they are imports and only 2 years warranty. Some people have had issues and I have had a lot of issues with a new transit I have got, so I wanted to buy the Leon from a good dealer with a good reputation - which we did
Thanks for all the comments

I have that engine aswell and have had for the last 4 months. No issues with power delivery either. Certainly not shocking. The old 1.9 engines much more on and off in terms of power delivery.
Its quieter than the 140 engine too
Nice cars!

do they create a blind spot, my Punto has HUGE A-Pillars those little gay triangle windows ahead of the front windows and massive door mirrors
all those make a massive blind spot

I wouldnt say massive but it is certainly something you have to get used too. Lots of cars have them these days, corsa D for example.
