Jack it up om under the sills near the little arrows.
Then putthe axle stands under the subframe, what i do anyways.

what else would he mean
yea thats an ok place to put them but if i were doing it id be jacking it up there and putting the axle stand on the chassis rail.
theres one that leads towards the arch.
i usually put them there.
edit: for the fronts
for the rears use the axle

haha, sorry mate yeah i meant 'axle' my bad,lol
so for most work, e.g lowering the car, i will be ok jacking it up with a trolly jack under the sills (where the little arrow is)
Pictures would be good.

Will be fine to jack it up on the sill. Would help if you have a bit of wood or something to spread the load a bit.

Stick the jack under on a jacking point and jack it, you are trying to make it significantly more complicated than it is.

Err no way you jack up a car on the sill using a trolly jack! Do you really want to bend the sill? No thought not idiots.

the bit where the 'semi circle' is cut out is/was used by vauxhall to lift it on lifts, is duble skinned so will be fine to jack up on.
find this with all cars really

Main garages stick the jacks anywhere they want, under the floor pan on at least one car i've seen.
If it's on the sill it'll be fine as well.

That's only likely to happen if you have really shit sills.
I've never fucked the sill on any of my cars, never jacked them up any other way. Neither did I bend one when I jacked cars up all day long for 18 months as a tyre fitter....
Unless the sills are fucked, it'll be fine.

Never jack up on the sills, front chassis or lower arm mount points, and on the rear beam.
