As some of you may have read, the house i was buying has fell through. Due to the sellers mother being ill and not able to take the stress at this time.

Our local paper has just arrived, and in it, is the same house to let, with a different estate agent.

So having royaly fucked me over wasting £600 in purchasing the property, shes lied why she took it off the market.

I have her name and address.

Would you do anything or leave it be?

no stupid answers please, cos im majorly pissed off.

Phone her up and ask why the house is in the paper after her telling you what she did.

Then go and put her windows in.

I'd prefer to keep it legal.

Its a proper piss take. Its hard enough being a first time buyer, without pricks doing this.

There should be a law to stop this

The law sucks, doesn't offer much protection! I'm suprised there isn't some sort of insurance to protect purchasers from it. But up til exchange of contracts a vendor could pull out if they don't like the shoes you're wearing.

There is in Scotland i think, dunno why we don't have it.

Same thing happened to us with a house, paid for everything doing but they dropped out at the last minute becuase they suddenly decided they didnt wanna move.

A few weeks later the house ended up back on the market and they asked us if we were still interested. Told them to GTF.

Not much you can do Dan i don't think, we lost a considerable amount too.

Theres nothing legal that you can do about it i'm afraid.

As other have said, the system is backwards....we just all have to live with it.

Apparently you can sign a form at your solicitors costs about £40, but it has to be signed before the process begins on the house, and it stops you from losing your fees.

Gutted to hear the sale fell through for you mate

If its for let then maybe they needed the money but couldnt handle the stress of a full on sale etc?

Tis extremely harsh but as said there is summat you can get via a solicitors to save some fees! BUT, as failed to mention, has to be done before

Luckily the solcitors are a no sale no fee.

Just the £350 to the surveyors, and the £250 for the searches etc

This is a tricky one. I'd start by getting in contact with her myself. Explain how much money you lost and how much of a pain it is sorting this sort of thing out. She might explain herself or even better, come to some sort of arrangement with you.
