when i bought my car i was told it was lowered 60mm all round, and its a nightmare to get over speed humps so i bought some 40mm springs for the front off a guy on here, took the old springs off and they are the same size so now i dont know if the front is 40mm or 60mm

They are the same size uncompressed so they don't fall out when you jack it up. They will compress differently to the allotted height.

It looks 60 currently in your pictures, but can't really see as we could do with a side on pic.
What make are the new springs and the old ones? as they may both be the same length, but different poundage so sit at a different height on the car.

Those are the correct Gmax part numbers, so the new ones are definitely 40 mm drop
Edit: Actually, appears I'm wrong, but I'm sure thats what the part numbers were like when I worked at Halfords?

Don't think G-max do a 30mm as that was what i wanted, they only do 40/60mm far as i was told by sparesworld!

my gmax springs said 30 on them but were 40mm.
as said, springs will be the same size uncompressed. my eibachs are the same size as the standard springs but they compress more therefore make the car lowered.
