its there for a reason mate,id leave it alone as its fuel vapour youre fucking with and blocking it up is only asking for trouble,maybe even explosive fun?

well the guy thats supposed to be a motorsport expert left the pipe fom the canister just floating around the engine bay when he fitted a c20 xe

maybe he forgot about it, it's to stop vapours coming out, on old cars on sunny days usually you can smell petrol because they don't have the canisters.

that pipe should go to a fuel tank vent valve then form that to the inlet manifold.a few people leave it off or just connect it straight to the inlet.mine was like that when i got it.

I wouldnt block the pipe up, your likely to suck your tank in if you do, it needs to let air in as you use fuel and I thought it sucked air in through there?
