Fitted some LED's to both my MFD and heater console.
The MFD one's look great night and day. They don't flicker with just the ignition on/day driving. However, when I turn both side lights and headlights on, the MFD flickers. When I hit the top of it, they come on bright again.
I haven't had chance to check the connection or anything yet since putting them in, and the LEDs could be lose. But I if it was any kind of loose connection, I would have thought they would flicker during the day. . .
Also, the standard bulbs never flickered.
So what could be my problem? A loose connection since fitting, or a dodgey earth/wiring/alternator in general?
The age old myth about LEDs either being on or off is wrong. Sometimes they are quite dim.
So yeah, could it be the case of a loose connection or something more serious?!

Havnt read it but my LED's went -
On > flicker > work sometimes > give up 
Edit: Read it, but cant help  So just laugh at me not having any dash LED's

Will be the plug on the back. Mine used to do it. A strateigicly placed scrunched up bit of gaffer tape solved mine
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

mine play up, the ones behind the heater controls have lost connection, i've had nothing but trouble with leds.
it'll be a bad connection in your case tho dean

Ahhh good, I thought so. A bit of insulation tape and fiddling with the connection at the back should sort it. I did try and wiggle that free when fitting the LED's, and little did I know the bulbs were sitting below it

yeh i had the same, the connections on LED are far to sensitive, being a diode isnt on or off, doesnt like bein inbetween, filiment can deal with poor/inconsistant connections, more tolerable....i soldered mine in the end!!
