can only really be oil pump or pressure relief valve stuck open.

did you not have an issue with oil pressure following a shot blasted rocker cover? was the pump renewed after this?

it wasnt oil presure related then. the pump was replaced also to make sure there wasnt a contamination.
this pump has been fine since i rebuild it in december allthe way till i removed the engine just over a month ago and had it rebored

its tappy as fuck top end. doesnt look to be gettin much oil
it hasnt been run more more than 5mins on total and not driven,
i know that driving it will quieten down the tappets but i refuse to drive it without any oil presure.
i even removed the sender unit from the back of the oil pump and cranked it over and no oil came out

have a look at the pressure relief valve then id have the oil out and sump off to do a bottom end inspection before running it any more anyway

Whip it out and have a look.
Is it the std valve, or a sbd replacement item?

basically its down to one of three things.
Pump
Relief valve
Pick up pipe in the sump
My money would be on the pick up pipe if the pump is new

Yea i am one of them, left Lee's house did 35ish miles and light came on

I have had this happen with pattern part pumps as well, on 2 occasions. both were the relief valve.
