Would a damaged one cause the tracking to be ok one minute and bad the next?

the rubber bit thats on the end the gease has came out of it.

Depends if it has play in it. It should be tight as a nuns badger.

lol well its not tight i could see it moving while the tracking was being done. Any other causes of the tracking being ok one minute bad the next. Car hasnt been in an accident so is 110% straight

What do you mean by moving?

It could be another worn suspension component. Bottom arm etc.

took the car to get tracked this morning was way out because the car needed a new bottom arm and a gaitor on the steering rack.

Got the tracking done drove to work and it was pulling to the right. took it back and they tracked it again. this time it was ok. then when i go over a bump the steering wheel moves the the left and the car then pulls to the left.

The only thing i can think is the track rod end because when that was being put back on the grease was coming out the rubber seal bit.
