I like Green cotton filters myself! No need for any oil so no chance of damaging the MAF! It was the only one Id dare put on my old P1 anyway!

I got one when I was changing my filter for the service, didn't cost much more, I agree a pointless exercise if you are expecting it to make any difference though.

Performance pannel filters in a drilled airbox are said to give good possitive gains over the standard and are even said to work as well as other inclosed kits such as the viper / cda
So all the people who are saying theres no point are therfore saying that a viper / cda induction kit is another pointless expense?

Not in a Subaru that has to be serviced every 6 months with a standard panel costing £20+VAT! The £40 Green filter had paid for itself after the second service!

I sell and use only green cotton elements now, better put together than most others.

You may see slight increases but nothing major! I suppose its one of those early modifications you do to complement others. Like the first thing I did on the P1 was uprated panel filter, exhaust with downpipe /decat and a remap.
Good alternative to people who dont really like induction kits
