Is anyone doing it?
Im considering getting a 22" Samsung 226BW, but im curious whats gaming like for games which are not designed for widescreen, such as CS/BF2/Crysis/WoW?

I've got a 22" HP monitor and all the games I play can run in wide screen format. Just adjust the output resolution of the game. up to 1680x1050 for a 22" monitor depending on your graphic cards capabilities

I've gotta 19 inch widescreen monitor and still looks right as long as you set the graphic cards setting right.

I use a 32" Sony Vega. Wii though, all meant for 16:9.

I have the 226BW, I think it's the same specs of the pebble one but I prefered the look of this one. Games/DVD/TV are no probs on it and it's a decent size too. I play MOH on it all the time (older and not designed for 16:10) runs fine.

thats what im thinking Allan, the 226 looks more like a computer monitor (which is exactly what im using it for), the 2232 looks more like a small tv.
Do you have the S Panel version?

I'd have the top one because it matches my tv.

I'm just about to buy the top one, just trying to justify it to myself because my current one works fine.
Edit to say also, the top one won't date as fast, I found the bottom shape on the samsung tv's dated very quickly, they are all square bottom now.

WoW supports widescreen.
Most games I've played on mine that don't directly support it still give you widescreen resolutions, which just stretches things a tiny bit. Not noticeable, really.

i got the 226BW on friday and its IMMENSE. The colours are amazing and its just the right size for what i use it for. I installed COD4 at the weekend and run it at 1650x1050px (i think) and it also had a 16:9 ratio option so used that. Looked immense
Go for it! £160 on ebuyer!

Allan you are right, i got the 223BW
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132860
BUT, its only .4 of an inch smaller than the 226BW, for £40 less, was an easy decision imo.
