Picked her up a couple of days ago for £500, one owner from new, 97k on the clocks with full VW Service history.

Coilies to be fitted on Thursday, some brand new black bumpers with chrome trim are on order and pressed plates should arrive tomorrow morning.

I have around £250 to spend on wheels (with tyres on). What would you recommend? Been offered these and I'm quite eager to accept. What do you guys reckon?

I quite like them. They suite it very well.

Either that or you save up for these...

Those are lovely, but 300 without tyres isn't good for my bank balance.

With coilovers and pressed plates, i reckon the car will look okay on the standard rims for a while. Until you save up for nicer ones.

Good idea, but only if you're into cleaning wheels. I can imagine they'd be a total nightmare.

This is true mate, still undecided. Think I'll wait for the coilies to go on first. Perhaps I'll get some 16" wheel trims on them for the time being.

Hi Phil

Gonna be driving around Europe this summer with the missus and a few mates, few cars of us going down and this is mine.

I'm not too in to the teledials tbh, and got offered some Ronal Turbos but I think they're over done.
