Hi ive got a corsa sport 1.4 16v and am thinking about upgrading to some bigger vauxhall brakes either 2ltr or 2.5v6 how noticable is the stopping power over the 1.4/1.6 calipers??
The 2ltr ones are from cavalier/astra etc? what are the 2.5 v6 ones from? vectra? and do both sets fit ok under some 15" et49 alloys? and are the 2.5 v6 ones worth getting over the 2ltr ones??

my v6 stoppers with braided lines were awesome, but were very sharp

yea i've got 2ltr red dot discs and pads with mk3 2.0 8v calibra callipers. Fit under corsa GSi alloys, you'll have no probs wit 15's.
V6 brakes are overkill in my opinion for a corsa...

2.5 v6 would be overkill for a 1.4 16v, get 2.0 instead.

so if i did upgrade to 2ltr calipers discs and pads would i also have to change the brake lines also??

No, the standard brake lines fit all vauxhall calipers.

yea just go to a scrappy and pull a set off a cav or calibra. Cost you £30 for discs and callipers wit pads in. make sure they ok...and chuck em straight on!
Dont have to change brake lines or nothing, just bolt straight on. The v6 brakes tend to be 5stud too...in the most part, which makes them a lil more difficult. Unless u buy specual 4 stud discs, which are stupid expensive!!

i have V6 on mine, i feel they are very spongy but thats my PERSONAL opinion, go for 2Litre setup instead as i had them on my valver and they where far better.

Biggest difference I noticed with the V6 ones is that they dont fade anywhere near as much, one big stop with the Gsi brakes and they go crap. Shame ive had to stick with the Gsi brakes this time round for the sleeper look

Ive fitted the 288mm v6 discs to my 1.4 corsa and they are much better than standard, and as it hasnt got the extra weight of an xe, (yet) they are probably overkill. however ive only gone for this set up as im goin for an xe soon. if you are just planning on keeping your 1.4 then go for the 2.0 256mm set up.as its cheaper and easier to fit.

Yeah, there the bracket that the caliper bolts to, which then bolts to the hub
