Alright lads,
Borrowed my Cousins Corsa C 1.8 SRi tonight.
He told me he's getting a random EML and the temp guage on dash tends to go up and down randomly.
Now he then told me that it's been losing a little water, i instantly thought Head Gasket  gutting coz he's really skint!
Now the thing is the car was a CAT C right off and im almost positive its had a new radiator. Im thinkng it's just an airlock as you can hear water behind the dash when you switch the ignition off.
I was also thinking the EML was most likely to be the CTS as the temp guage tinkers and he's getting shitty MPG.
Then there's this: i couldnt help but notice she doesnt turn over as fast as you'd think she would. Are these signs of head gasket? Oh and it;s defiantely not down on performance 
Any help appreciated guys.

Also there's no sign coolant mixing whatsoever.

Are you 100% sure everything is watertight? Headgaskets do get blamed a little too easy IMO, Ive have small water leaks that only show up as a bit of steam when its up to temp and when the engine cools I believe it to suck air back in through the leak causing problems.
Can you flash the codes out on a 1.8 SRI?

No im not 100% sure it's all water tight mate as its not my car only had the pleasure of driving it for an hour. Ill check that out now tho im gna try and get rid of airlock.
Run to temp then open cap while squeezing water pipes and it should bubble if air coming through right??
No you cant paperclip test the Corsa C mate, shitter aint it.

If its just a case of losing some water then I doubt the headgasket is at fault really, of course I could be wrong but thats my opinion
Have a real good look for leaks and make sure the cap is airtight too

take it to a garge and get the codes read. wont cost alot.
