is it possible to remove tyres from wheels yourself ??
if so how do people do it, im not bothered about damaging the alloy as it'll only be getting weighed in
and taking them to a tyre place isnt an option just yet

Funny that, I was about to post the same question, im sweating like a bitch trying to get mine off now. Tryed sawing, fairy liquid, massive screw drivers. and it aint moved

i wanna keep the tyres intact if possible tho as ill be using them when i roll the corsa and nova onto there sides for some welding/rust treatment etc

Breaking the bead will be a bitch to do without a machine, if you get that done then it should be fairly easy with a couple of tyre levers or something similar.

I tried do it DIY style
Couldn't even break the bead off the rim
So gave up

brute force and big crowbar
if that fails ill go buy a bigger crowbar

you need tyre lever bars and and crowbar thats like a slide hammer to bang the bead off. its bloody hard work i had to do 6 not long ago to weigh them in

I managed to get mine off, it is just a case of leavering with screw drivers all the way around and lots of fairy liquid.

If you havnt got a bead breaker, Try driving over the trye when its flat on the floor, this should pop the bead. Used to do this with the bike tyres and always worked
