It will be.
Fuel duty will be lowered, but national road pricing will be introduced and you'll end up paying even more.

I thought they could do NOTHING about it. The price of oil has gone up so much, they cannot bring the price of petrol down, until oil prices decrease.

Its about 66p in the £1 that is tax on fuel prices (might be more?), so although oil prices are high its nothing compared to the fuel tax rates.

You do know they'll 'scrap' the 2p fuel duty then keep increasing it as they have been anyway except everybody will praise them for dropping the 2p just because they know about it.
The british public in general are idiots.

Our tax is smashing it, then we have all the expansion in the east which is making it pricey too, over $120 dollars for a barrel, ouch.

A 2p drop wont make any difference to me. Neither will a 10p drop. I'm paying £1.24 a litre for diesel now, and just because those idiots in the government have raised it almost 50%, people will love the idea of it dropping down to £1.05 and praise the goverment for doing so... But not me. I want it back under £1 (diesel) because the tax is extortionate, and I wonder what road-tax is used for.

In this country we suffer from 'by the bollocks' syndrome.
The public transport system is a mess, so you can't get form A to B easily. Got no other option apart from drive, bike or walk.

Maybe you could put a saddle on it and use it as transport?
Surely feeding it scraps would be cheaper than petrol for your car, and would get you past any traffic jams!

The cost of oil has not increased, and we often sell our own produced oil which would keep us going for years!
Our government make around 80p of every litre you buy, then fuel company make around 15p, the rest is what pays wages etc!
Your being lied to if you think fuel should be anything near the price it is.
Nothing will happen, the price of fuel will drop, road tax will go up! Forever we're fucked here like!
