i was looking at a x16xe engine for sale and was thinking about buying it for my gsi (c16xe at the minute) i was just wondering if there any problems doing this? im getting the x16xe wiring loom with the engine so it should be a straight forward swap im guessing?

OR
just use your c16 sensors/loom etc.
And use the bare x16xe engine.....

true! but what way will it work with the air flow meter? as my c16xe has 1 and the x16 doesnt?

put the airflow meter off the c16 onto the x16

AFM? VSS? Does your GSI have ABS?
There is a few small differences that can catch people out.
Why do you want to change? C16xe fucked?

yea my gsi has abs! no the c16 isnt fucked the engine im looking at has a few goodies and has just been rebuilt, has anyone on here swapped their c16 for a x16?

i swapped my x16 for a c16...but kept the x16 management.
