1) will they fit under 15" wheels?
2) is it hard to re-drill them your self?
3) do the calipers fit straight on?
4) are they all the same on calibra's and vectra's?
will it be easier and cheaper just to buy this kit?

Yes they will fit under 15 inch wheels.
My 288s cleared Astra GSI fan blade rims.
The calipers will require the donor cars runners.
No they are not the same on all cars...
Some cars had 284mm brakes and some had 288mm brakes...
I'll dig out the full details for you.

Cavalier Turbo 284mm calipers are the best to go for as the pistons in the calipers are smaller and better suited to the Corsa's master cylinder.
Vectra V6 (or just newer Vectra 5 stud) are all 288mm
Then there is the Calibra V6/Turbo setup...I know the later versions were 288mm but can't remember which ones were 284s

anyone had much experience on how good v6 brakes are?ive got 2.0 16v 256mm red dot grooved discs and black diamond pads on at the moment and they are nowhere near good enough

From experiance:
They dont fade as quickly as the 2.0 brakes.
They have a long pedal but awesome stopping power.

Never had the pleasure of driving a tub corsa mate but unless you go big money your not going to get much better than v6 288mm for the money IMO.
Get some braided hoses and get them pressure bled to help with the long pedal too.

I would recommend Cav Turbo 284mm disks and calipers. The slightly smaller pistons will make a big difference with pedal feel.
Get some nice GM disks with Mintex M1144 compound pads.
