Hi guys
The house we put an offer on 5 weeks ago is nearing completion. Just awaiting the leasehold management to reply to enquire's.
Im trying to find a decent list of things to do once we move in. Like who to call etc etc,
Anyone got anything?
Cheers.

get meter readings as soon as your in and let them know, house was rented before we moved in and previous people had racked up a 500 quids worth of gas bills, managed to get it sorted tho.

Same here, the rented house we are in now, they ran up 695 on gasbill and over 400 on electricity. The house was repossed from the previous owners and they hadn't paid the gas bill since June 06, so obviously our landlord bought it at auction and hasn't sorted out all the debt that was left. So trying to get the landlord to get them paid :@, how did you get yours sorted?

Change the address on Credit cards, passport, drivers license etc.
They're things people forget to do.

I just rang British Gas and explained I had these bills but I had only been in a month or so. They just seemed to dismiss it? Never had anything else since.
