how much do ppl think a full rebuild on a dizzy redtop would cost roughly?
stuff included in the rebuild are : new 1mm oversize pistons and rings,crank reground, new shells,bearings,new oil pump, 2 new valves, block skimmed for 1mm pistons, head pressure tested and skimmed, new gaskets all over? just ur ideas on rough prices including labour. thanks

my mates bill from our local builders was around £800 just on the bottom end..

that was:

0.5mm oversize pistons
block bored, and skimmed
new oil pump
new bearings
pistons and rods match weighed
lightened and balanced (bottom pully to clutch)
built up

add onto that about £250 (i think) for the head to have the porus fix done and some new valves and skimmed

so yeh, about £1000

Vauxhall still actually are able to supply c20xe's on an exchange basis for not much more

well hes chargin me 1.2k for all of the above, but also forgot to mention a new inner cv joint, and all new studs for inlet n manifold, hes also painted up everything so it looks brand new. just wonderin wat ppl thought about the price

Mine was around £1300 including parts and the labour for a full rebuild.

yes, just a bare engine, no sensor's maifold's gasket's dissy etc etc..

just the block and head, built up, in exchange for your old engine

and cam cover, it may even have a cambelt, waterpump, and cambelt cover on it too

yes all the above fitted...

basically come's ready to bolt on inlet, exhaust manifold, sensor's, ignition systems and wiring...
