Been to the NIA (National Indoor Arena) today and tried to take one of them Panorama Pics. I think i need some more practice 

Any tips?

take pics with more bits that match up at the edges.
e.g. a car is not the easiest thing to match up.
try and get a bit of the floor or wall between each photo.

I usually try and overlap at least an 8th of the photo, the actual picture is about 18mb so heres a smaller version:
