Anyone used any registry repair programs. Fed up of formatting PCs at work just because they are slow
99% of our customers are on XP.

are they similar machines? if so create a master disc. im in the process of doing it now.
have dell laptops dell desktops and a range of HP's and can be rebuilt with one disc all drivers are on it. can even run a script that once its done it renames it and adds it to a domian. saves soooo much time. just put the disk in boot it up done. will be implementing it via pxe soon also.

I use RIS all the time. we have about 20 images on our RIS server. Every 3 months or so we format every PC in the school (about 350 of them) All our software is installed via .Msi, so the images are simply Windows XP and the required drivers.

Also you could use, netrunna, acronis, ghost but they are cost options. RIS is free.

I've had Allan from NetRunna come here and set it up in the lab, bloody works well
However our company is going Vista and they are quite a way from getting it right yet. Also they werent very clear on costs.
