I want to just use a secondary monitor hooked up to my laptop, and then use wireless mouse/keyboard so that basically the laptop itself can just be hidden away.
Problem if I dont know how to do it. I can seem to make my external monitor the primary or disble the laptop screen.
I tried to google it but there doesnt seem to be answers out there. Its a vaio that used to have hotkeys that could toggle between lcd/tv output, but even if this would solve the problem, these hotkeys dont work anymore.
How can I do it?

If you right click the desktop and hit display properties it should be in there.
You'll also need to change power mode to stay on when lid is shut

plug in the second monitor
open up display props
the second monitor on the right should br egreyed out, right click on it and click attached.
apply, thsi should expand the desktop, then if u want this as the primary screen you need to right click again and click primary, apply, desktop moves, then right click on the left monitor and do click attached (should be clicked already?)
may work, may not.
