well there are normally just the 2 choices of engine tuning when you get a 2.0l
Its either a C20XE then do throttle bodies, or you get a C20LET...
is it possible to combine the 2 ?
so you put a throttle body kit onto a LET engine so you get the best of both worlds ?
as i said its probably a stupid question but i dont know that much about engines and i was just thinkin
cheers peeps

they work on diffrent compressions as the turbo works on low compression whereas the TB would work on high compression.
i think it is possible and has been done but people have said its better to just pump the cash into a LET and your get better gains

It is possiable, yes. As TB's is inlet and turbo is outlet (exhaust)
I've seen it been done before.

It'd be better for supercharger & Turbo. The noise plus power all the way thru from the charger to kill turbo lag.

It is possible, but the gains aren't as simple.
TBs work from high compression and high-revving.
Turbos work from low compression and lots of air, and(Relatively) low revving. To get a high-revving turbo motor you'd need to build a turbo purely for that spec = £££

The name Lisa springs to mind....

You don't have to have really low compression and a lot of boost pressure, you can go for a less low compression and less boost, the car will be far more driveable that way

but what neil has done, is use a pulsar inlet, which incases the tb;s
which is what you would do if you went with a custom inlet with ITB's anyway
dave summed up the main issues
