My 1.6 16v corsa sport ticks over quite rough and has done so for some time now. About 6 months ago i got the egr valve replaced as the warning light kept coming on randomly. Now the light only comes on when i do motorway driving!!! Im going to be seling this soon and obviously cant sell it like this.
Could the egr valve be related to rough tick over? Ive had a new back box, spark plugs, egr valve and it still ticks over rough + the light comes on.
Someone please help as this car is driving me mad!!!!

Do you only have problems at idle?
Or any problems/stutters further up the rev range under load?
What you mean by rough? Is it struggling to maintain a steady revs at idle and jumping up and down a bit?

Yeah i only have problems at idle.
When i rev it the exhaust doesnt blow at all.
The revs dont seem to change at all but the exhaust blows.
It doesnt do it when u first turn the car on. I know the car actually revs a bit higher to warm up, it sounds to me that its a sensor causing the problem.
Maybe the icv???
If it was a problem with the exhaust then it should blow even when i first turn the car on right?
