At the moment we are implementing Oracle to our network, shit thing is at the moment its not compatiable with ie7, some computers on the network have ie7.
i was going to create a batch file that uninstalls it then installs ie6, but dont know if there is a way via GPO or not.

Im sure you could write an uninstall script that removes ie7 and then have install of IE6 as the next object in GP so when you run the update either at restart or through cmd it would remove then install ?

having researched more its a piece of piss, batch file on start up to remove it deployed via gpo and ie6 is still installed once ie7 is removed.

The batch file to remove 7 is your friend, then delpoy IE6 using GPO

no need to deploy IE6 via GPO as its still there once the uninstall of IE7 is done.

if IE7 was installed via WSUS then you might be able to unapprove it and it should uninstall.
Or you could just do this if there isnt many mahcines http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177
