Just passed my test and my car insurance is put down as provisonal? Could i still drive round even doe im insured as a provisonal? Would the police know that the car is insured under provisonal? I know if i had a crash i would be in the deep?

As soon as i tell them my insurance bumps up to £2,500 and i only have 5-6months to go.

Because i was thinking, its still insured? And if a police offer read the car's reg, i would of thought it would come up with insured on the computer? Not provisonal insured lol

Just that im paying £900 atm for my car insurance and as soon as i pass they want £2,500 i belive lmao! Thats a big step on monthly payments specialy when i need M.O.T done? lol

Who you with insurance, as I told my insurance company as soon as I got home from passing and my insurance stayed at what I had provisional???

Tell them to go fuck themselves, as I was with Quinn when I past, but when I had a small little crash I was paying £881 with one years no claims, then they asked me for £1700. I'm with Endsleigh and paying £1061 with a crash, so Quinn are ripping you off there.

If your lying on your insurance, your uninsured.

Thats a 6 point offence (IE. you loose your licence) and £1000 fine.

They never did that with me. But they fucking doubled it when I crashed, and I ended up getting £700 knocked off that when I changed.

When it doubled did u have to pay the rest there and then or did you pay more in monthly installments therefore after?

Equally, its not so much the fact you're liable to 6 points and thus a ban... which I admit is an issue in itself.

Its that if you have a crash, you are liable personally for the lot.

i had the same with quinn when i first took insurance out i asked 2-3 ppl on phone whether price would change when i passed i pass and it went up 600 quid

I just paid more on the monthly installments, but £160odd a month was just too much, so I changed my insurance so im insure under my mum now, £90 a month.

I tried to do it online first, but you need to phone them to change your licence.

I near threw the phone at a wall when the bastard told me the increase

I dont know what to do lol, just passed test, egar to get on the road, need M.O.T and change insurance lol i get paid tomorrow but about £350. £75 insurance then £140 to my mum for this months lessons lol which leaves me with £135 lol which will leave me nothing for my m.o.t then letalone insurance aha.. I'm fooooked!
