Update on my GSi, sump is off and there's the smallest little hole at the end of an abrasion across the bottom, going to try and repair it tomorrow.

Bought an X16 one to replace it but it's different - the X doesn't have the flywheel cover plate - not sure if this is present on the X but not part of the sump assembly?

I heard they can be a twat to remove. I hope you remembered to remove the 2 hidden screws so that you didn't waste your night pissing around with screw drivers.


I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

look for somthing called QuickSteel which will easy repair yours mate, done a few hair line cracks on gearboxs etc before now with it.
