Had my laptop a couple months now and my mate asked him to burn a couple CD's. Did them and they dont work on any cd player or pc.

Im using iTunes. All the settings are the same as my home pc (which ive been using to burn for a year or 2)

Will it be software or something that i will to download?

Laptop is a HP G7000

Maybe his CD you have burned it as a data CD?, have you checked the 'Burning' options?

Its set to burn an audio CD 100%.

Perhaps you aren't finalizing the disc... most players wont play it unless you close it off.

Might also be shite discs too.

I remember right at the beginning, my cd writer was a Yamaha SCSI one..... fookin retr0

it might be broke take it back did u buy it from staples? mine has gone really compared to when i bought it

Nah mine was from Comet, was in a sale for £400 i think.

Ill download Nero see what that does.
