just fixed my problems with the em light being on (it was another dodgy afm) now my car is yet to be taken for a good drive but ive had the battery off a lot...does my ecu need a good drive to reset its settings/parameters etc
or is it my idle control valve??
when i rev the engine up it runs okay-ish/not missing but im putting that down to the plugs were black from the dodgy afm,i cleaned them though which helped a lot...

any advice please guys??

Had the same problem with my XE mate - had to keep charging the battery in the house due to there being no alternator belt.

Ran 'lumpy' when I got it all fixed, seems to have sorted itself out now though.

I'd take it for a drive and go from there.

Personally I'd take it for a run before spending money, but I am Scottish.

That's usually a sign of overfueling. You checked the lambda sensor, injectors, fuel rail, etc.?
