i am after lowering my car which is a corsa sport model... and at the minute i am on a tight budget so i can only afford springs. what is the lowest you can go without ruining your original dampers i.e. 40mm, 50mm or 60mm front and rear that is and does anyone recomend a certain brand of springs cheers...

If your keeping standard shocks then 40mm is best any lower and you will need shortend shocks Altho ppl do go 60 on standard shocks but its bouncy as fook

Most people say 40mm.

Ive got 60mm springs on standard shocks, it is quite bouncy lol Ive got standard sport wheels, id hate to think what it would be like on low pro tyres.

But fuck it, its not that bad really, id do it again if i was broke lol

Ebay link - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corsa-B-Jamex-Suspension-Kit-Shocks-Lowering-Springs_W0QQitemZ270263263782QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270263263782&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

£123 inc postage for Shocks and Springs, these are a good budget kit. When you consider springs are £60 anyway, i would save a wee bit more to get the kit, otherwise just go 40mm, 60 in my opinion is too bouncy and as Pete says its sore when you hit a bump.

Hope this helps
