Do you have a basic understanding of Engineering and fulcrum points etc? If not, buy one - easiest option, they are peanuts anyway.

If you have an understanding of Engineering (as you previously claimed) then it is easy enough, you are reducing the the distance between the balljoints for the throws you wish to improve.
I am a trained Aeronautical Engineer and I wouldn't waste my fucking time trying to make one, too much trial and error and fucking around.
