I don't see wallpaper hanging in the same light as you lot, I can line and hang a finish paper in a box room in a day no problem, it's the stripping it off I hate, everywall in my house is either wall art (for the kids) or emulsion.

Once you get the first few up and straight then the rest shouldnt be too much of a problem.

Its not really that hard - and much better than painting. Cant fucking standing painting rooms

I'd never have paper any more (unless its a lining paper to cover an uneven wall).

Paint FTW

Why?

Some of the wallpapers out their are and give a much better finish if done properly than paint.

i see decorating as really relaxing. i dont mind wallpapering or painting. even the sanding down bit i enjoy. i've helped my dad for as long as i can remember though so i picked up all the tricks at a young age.

i always go for wallpaper if the wall hasn't been freshly skimmed. as Craig says, some of the designs are really cool.

Isn't wallpaper a bit 10yrs ago? Paint always looks more modern and fresh IMO. Big fan of creams and neutral colours tbh.

Some are ok, but personally I hate repeating patterns, would rather solid colour.

My bedroom is cream on two walls, pale blue on the other two, looks ace IMO. I reckon it looks far better than any wallpaper could.

Thats my preference though.

here is a tip for you mate buy wallpaper which needs to be painted like super fresco blown vinyl type and then when it comes to the corners cut the paper at the corner roughly but neatly and start again on the next wall all you have to do then is use level..... you will have a rough corner then when you have not gone round the corner which is pain if the walls arent straight but to make something new go to focus etc and buy some like quadrant for the corners no nails it to the corner and then gap fill it it with decorater chaulk and then paint as normal.

this will not work for wallpaper that wont requie painting etc.. if i get the chance ill take apic of mine

how is wallpaper old most of my friends have just painted walls and to be honest i think it all looks CANT BE BOTHERED only time painted wall looks good to me is if its bin skimmed a week ago and is perfectly smooth...

and even then alot of my family/friends walls have cracked which then it needs skimming and then it never looks smooth again...

ideally wallper has its own problems if it gets damaged etc but i would class lairy wallpaper like from 70's old not these modern blown vinyls which you paint over with a nice neutral colour
