Live view isnt that great, deffo not worth upgrading just for that feature. Got it on my D300 and havent used it once, i just shoot freestyle if i dont/cant look through the viewfinder, its easy enough to do.

I've not had a shot of one, i've not had any problems using the viewfinder on mine, I find it weird going back to point and shoots now and holding the camera away from my face.

I would benefit from the bigger screen though, the one on the 350d is too small.

thing is it doesnt work like a point and shoot, its proper dodgy

Have a go of one and you will understand what i mean unless canons work differently to nikons but i doubt they will.

Its more of a gimmick feature if anything.

Is the screen much bigger on the 450D compared to the 350D?

Agree with Jonny its a gimmick. The live view on 450s takes ages to focus properly too.
