This is a question i have wanted to ask for a while. Can you get turbo chatter on any turbo engine, or is it just some, i.e RS turbos.

i get it on my let quite loudly.... you can get it on any with a wastegate....

you may need to buy a new manifold to get it fit though....

although the LETSS are pretty loud without one....

fruitbooter and lukeD both heard mine and thats just a sstandard turbo...
minus bottom end work

On a turbo car, when you come of the throttle the tb closes, the noise is the air that is in a "pocket" between the now closed tb (obv a blow of valve/dump valve relases this pressure, hence the noise) , and the turbo, the back pressure forces the air back through the turbo, hence the noise

not good for your turbo, but sounds

A few of the ford lads round my way have it and have had for a while. How long does it shorten the turbo life by then. And can you make a VAG engine do it?
