Here's a few shots from Sundays 3 races and a few from the support races.

All race action taken with a Nikon D40 with 70-300VR lens.

Nice set of images. Just a few questions

1) How have you put the border around them

2) How did you make the background B&W and still have colour on the car ?

Great pics - I was there too and took loads as well. Got a few paddock ones too of the driver.

Oh, and the two Nuts.tv girls

What you do is copy the area around the car into a new layer, then crop it/erase all the background around it so your left with just the car. Then you go into the original photo and lower the colour saturation so it goes into b&w, thus leaving the new layer in colour over the top.

Nice pics btw mate, just out of interest did you have a media pass for the races or what?

No media passes just a 300mm lens.

As for colour select.

1. Duplicate the original layer (Control 'J')
2. Use the Poly Lasso tool to draw around the car, once done hit delete.
3. Now make the duplicate layer B&W.
4. Play around with the contrast to get the desired effect.
5. Done.

Well I had the 70-300mm on at the time so probably around 150-200 for the driver shots.
