You would probably have a pretty erratic idle if your EGR valve was clatted...

and mine used to bounce between 750 and 1000 on idle when mine was shot, hence suggesting ICV

But what im saying is that my car doesnt seem to respond very well and is very boggy when i put my foot down in a highish gear going about 30-40mph.
TBH, it does feel like something is blocked.

A bit of a ball-ache, 2 T-50's i think to get it off but it you have to remove quite a lot to get your hands even remotely close...

In my experience, if the EGR is shot it will give you the boggy symptoms, but not a dodgy idle.

take the eger off then take the icv off as its easy to do once egr is off clen both of them with brake/clutch cleaner, then put bac on, and try running, its still shit just put new ones on or a second hand one that works, this applies for both, as ive done alot of these and the simtoms are the same from either as i have found, so if u cleanm both u are eliminating it both ways, plus its only a 30min job, just abit fiddly, but you will only get the icv out once the egr is removed, TOM
