Does anyone permanently use their PC on a HD TV? I'm thinking about doing this, with a VGA > HDMI cable, just wondering if its as good as using a monitor? Mine is a 720p/1080i screen, so is there a good resolution for this TV??

If it's as good? It's better. Then again, i'm comparing it to my old Dell 17" crappy thing. Much much better using the PC on my 32" HDTV. I just have my audio goin through my stereo, always have.

A TV is designed to be viewed at a distance of several meters. A computer monitor is designed to be viewed at a distance of a foot or so. The pixels will be too big and the back light is too bright to use a TV as a PC monitor for close viewing, it will hurt your eyes.
